Four E8 Athletes Recognized by ECAC
Four Empire 8 Athletic Conference (E8) Athletes of the Week have been recognized by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) as Division III Upstate Athletes of the Week for their performance during the week of Sept 9-15, 2013.

Defensive Player of the Week
Megan Traub – Stevens Institute of Technology
Senior, Defense, Berkeley Heights, NJ
Traub keyed the Ducks to a 5-1 Empire 8 win over W&J, scoring three goals and dishing out one assist to tie a Stevens single-game record with seven points. Traub assisted the first goal of the game on a penalty corner, then hammered home three-straight tallies on penalty-corner-inserts off the stick of classmate and co-captain Marguerite Chavez. Traub now has three goals and three assists on the season, also anchoring the middle of a Stevens Defensive Player of the Week unit that allowed just one goal Saturday.

Offensive
Ken Emmons – Frostburg State University
Junior, Quarterback, Pennsville, NJ
Emmons accounted for 521 yards of total offense with seven touchdowns against Waynesburg. Emmons completed 24-of-41 passes for 384 yards and four touchdowns and added 137 rushing yards on 16 carries for another three scores.
Tyler Fenti – St. John Fisher College
Senior, Quarterback, Honeoye Falls, NY
Fenti led the 19th ranked Cardinals to a 42-21 over Washington and Jefferson College, Saturday. The senior quarterback set a new all-time record for Fisher, throwing for 453 yards on 18-26 passing. He also threw for four touchdowns including an 87-yard pass to open the game.
Defensive
Ryan Seymour – St. John Fisher College
Senior, Defensive Back, Saratoga Springs, NY
Seymour had a strong day for Fisher accounting for eight tackles in its 42-21 win over Washington and Jefferson College. He also forced a fumble and blocked a field goal attempt. The Saratoga Springs native also batted down two passes.
