Stevens 3, William Paterson 0 (Box Score)
The fifth-ranked and unbeaten Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team continued rolling Wednesday night, cruising to a 3-0 victory over previously unbeaten William Paterson University at the De Baun Athletic Complex.

Sophomore midfielder Colin Phillips  gave the hosts a 1-0 edge at 29:44 and set up the squads second score of the night less than 10 minutes later to pace the Ducks.

On the first goal, Philips took a perfect pass from sophomore forward Carson Pryor into the right side of the box and delivered a precision shot into the upper-left corner for the score. It was the second-year player's fourth score of the year and had a lot to do with a great helper from Pryor who was just able to thread-the-needle to Phillips on the play.

The second goal was the result of a perfect pass out of the back from senior Zeke HemmeHemme started the run with a long ball to sophomore midfielderJoe Cellitti, who tapped to Phillips sprinting into the box. Phillips got off a fantastic shot that was miraculously saved by the outstretched arm of Pioneer goalkeeper Mike Diacheysn. The rebound skied directly to senior midfielder Edward Rupp charging in from the left side, and he headed in the tally. It was Rupp's first of the year to go along with his team-high three assists.

The lead stayed at two (2-0) through halftime and until the 64th minute when senior forward Stephen Dunbar recorded his second score in as many outings, playing give-and-go with sophomore back Harrison Kane. After receiving the initial pass from Dunbar, Kane put his return on the foot of Dunbar who did the rest.

Senior goalkeeper Paul Killian earned the shutout in net for the Ducks, making three saves. Stevens ended with a 12-9 edge in shots, while Paterson (5-1-0) had a 7-5 margin in corners.

St. John Fisher 0, Keuka 0 (Box Score)
The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team created opportunities but could not convert any chances, earning a 0-0 draw against the Keuka Storm Wednesday night at Growney Stadium.

Fisher set the tone in the first half of the game outshooting the Storm 11-2.  Junior Matt Silvi had the best opportunity running down the right flank and firing a shot to the near post that was pushed aside by goalkeeper Preston Vick.

Early in the second half Danny Yancone nearly broke the tie, heading a long ball from Josh Tomko off the crossbar in the 55th minute.

In the first overtime frame, Victorin Kothor provided Keuka with a scare five minutes in rifling a shot from outside the 18-yard box that sent the Kueka goalkeeper diving to his left to make the save.  Vick finished with 15 saves as Fisher outshot Keuka 29-7.

With the tie Fisher improves to 2-3-1 on the season while Kueka moves to 2-1-1.

Hobart 3, Utica 2 (OT) (Box Score)
The Utica College men's soccer team battled a talented Hobart squad to a tough 3-2 double overtime loss on the turf at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium Wednesday night.  Both teams were held scoreless in the first half of play, and they exchanged goals in the second half to send the contest into overtime.  Freshman Charlie Kelly netted his second goal of the contest in the 102nd minute to push the Statesmen (3-3) past the Pioneers (2-4) in the non-conference contest.

UC continues its three-game home stand on Saturday when it opens Empire 8 Conference action against the Golden Flyers of Nazareth College.  The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The Pioneers fell into a 1-0 hold in the 63rd minute, but responded to tie the score at 1-1 when senior Kevin McAllister scored in the 79th minute.  Classmate Jeffrey Cupka sent a free kick into the box, which was collected by McAllister, who then turned and fired the equalizer into the lower left side of the net past Hobart goalie Tyler Serafine.

Just over two minutes later Charlie Kelly scored his first of the night to put the Statesmen back on top 2-1, but the home squad was not done yet.  Exactly four minute later UC's Alex Sheridan sent a long ball up field to a streaking Shane Ruffing who collected the pass and found Dennis Runikera with a crossing pass in front of the net.  Runikera one-timed Ruffings' crossing-pass into the back of the net to knot the score at 2-2 in the 85th minute.

Both teams were held scoreless in the first ten minute overtime, but it took just 1:09 into the second before Kelly found the back of the net for his second of the day and third of the season to end the contest with the visitors up by one.

UC outshot Hobart 17-15 on the evening.  The Pioneers earned five second half corner kicks to put the pressure on the Statesmen.

UC's Anthony Caruso stopped six shots in the contest, while Tyler Serafine came away with seven saves for the visitors.
