Frostburg 36, Case Western 33 (Box Score)
Freshman Isaac Robinson booted a 19-yard field goal with three seconds left to propel the Frostburg State University football team to a 36-33 victory over Case Western Reserve, Saturday at a rainy and windy Bobcat Stadium.

The Bobcats (1-2) picked the perfect time to post their longest drive of the season as FSU marched 93 yards on 14 plays in the closing minutes to setup Robinson's game-winner. Junior Michael Fourth ran for 27 of his career-high 185 yards, but the biggest play of the drive came on fourth-and-11 at the Case 34. Junior Ken Emmons scrambled to his right and found sophomore Haydan Roberts, who broke away from a defender up the home sideline for a 30-yard reception to the Case four. Following a timeout by both teams, Robinson handed the Bobcats the win.

Ithaca 17, Union 3 (Box Score)
The Ithaca College football team used a strong defensive performance to post a 17-3 win over Union on Saturday afternoon at Frank Bailey Field. Rakim Jones ran for two touchdowns and tight end Jared Prugar had a career-best receiving day with 165  yards on six receptions.

Ithaca built a 14-3 lead at the half on two rushing touchdowns by senior running back Rakim Jones. Jones scored from two yards out in the first quarter and added a four-yard TD carry in the second quarter.

The Bombers extended their lead on their first drive of the second half. Ithaca went 81 yards over 11 plays and capped the drive with a 20-yard field goal by Garrett Nicholson. Neumann was 4-for-5 on that drive for 73 yards passing, including strikes of 22 and 25 yards to Prugar.

Salisbury 28, NC Wesleyan 10 (Box Score)

After two narrow defeats to open the year, the Salisbury University football team claimed its first win of the 2013 season, 28-10, at North Carolina Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon.

After seeing two late-game scores against them in the first two games, the Sea Gulls took a lead into the fourth quarter and made it stand up with a lengthy drive to close the game.

The Battling Bishops (0-3) scored on the first play of the fourth quarter, on quarterback Robbie Lanier's 4-yard run, cutting Salisbury's lead to 21-10, but two long drives allowed the Sea Gulls (1-2) to hold the ball for nearly 11 minutes of the final quarter, milking the clock and closing out the win.

Salisbury's first drive of the final quarter ended in an interception, but not before the Gulls would move the ball 54 yards in more than four minutes. Salisbury ran the ball six times over 10 plays during the drive as junior Desmond Sivels converted two third downs on the drive with runs of 11 and 10 yards.

North Carolina Wesleyan took the ball inside the Salisbury 10-yard line on the ensuing drive, trying to get the Sea Gull advantage to single digits, but an ill-advised throw by Lanier was picked off by Andre Carter, giving Salisbury possession at its own 3-yard line.

The interception was the second pick of the day for Carter, who now has 13 in his career, tied for second in program history with John Baugher (1986-89) and five back of program record holder Byron Westbrook (2003-06).

Hartwick 45, Becker 19 (Box Score)
Running back Kurtis Ahart ran for 128 yards and three touchdowns to lead Hartwick football to a 45-19 win over Becker on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field. The Hawks remain undefeated at 3-0 while Becker slips to 1-2.

Quarterback John Garcia completed 17 passes for 271 yards and threw for three touchdowns. Frankie Molina caught seven of those passes for 151 yards and a touchdown.

The defense totaled six sacks, two forced fumbles, and recorded a safety. End Joe Seney had six tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble.

Alfred 33, Montclair State 10 (Box Score)

The Alfred University football team used a 24-point second quarter to break open a close game en route to a 33-10 defeat of visiting Montclair State Saturday afternoon at Yunevich Stadium.

The Saxons (1-1) led 6-3 going into the second quarter and then 13-3 after an 18-yard touchdown run by senior tailback Austin Dwyer with 7:24 left in the half. Montclair seemed ready to seize the momentum when, on the first play of its ensuing drive, quarterback Ryan Davies hooked up with wideout Aaron Williams on an 80-yard TD pass, drawing the Red Hawks to within three points, at 13-10.

But that would be all the points Montclair would score, as Alfred used defense and a timely special teams play to score the next 17 points of the quarter – 14 coming in a 12-second span – to go up 30-10 heading into halftime.

Wisconsin-Whitewater 55, Buffalo State 14 (Box Score)
No. 15-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater (2-0) avenged last year's loss against Buffalo State (2-1), scoring on its first seven possessions en route to a 55-14 victory today on a soggy Coyer Field. The Bengals earned a 7-6 win in Whitewater last season, snapping the Warhawks' 46-game winning streak that included three national championships.

Buffalo State starting quarterback Casey Kacz  saw just limited time, finishing 6 of 13 for 50 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Buffalo State's backup quarterbacks combined to go just 1 of 11 for four yards with an interception. Mike Doherty  had five catches for 39 yards and a touchdown. Mitchell Thomas had a game-high 12 tackles.

Hobart 34, Utica 21 (Box Score)
The Utica College football team was handed its first loss of the young season at the hands of host and nationally-ranked No. 8 Hobart College, 34-21, Saturday night at Boswell Field. Utica struck first with a five yard touchdown plunge by senior running back Jake Larson in the first quarter but the Statesmen took advantage of costly turnovers and rushed for 329 yards on the ground to earn the non-conference victory over the Pioneers.

After falling down 7-0 in the first quarter, Hobart (2-0) used 28 consecutive points in the second and third quarters to take a three touchdown lead over the Pioneers early in the third.

UC responded by outscoring the home team 14-7 in the final 20:27 of the game, but it was not enough as the Statesmen came away with the victory in front of their homecoming crowd of 1,361.

Larson rushed for 111 yards on 25 carries and scored two touchdowns for the Pioneers on a rain-filled evening in Geneva, NY.  Junior Anthony Acevedo lead all wide receivers with 11 catches for 133 yards, while UC quarterback Connor Butkiewicz completed 26-of-44 passes for 235 yards and one touchdown toss late in the game to senior Jamie Murphy.   Acevedo moved into sole possession of third place on the school's all-time receptions list after the 11 catches.
