Highlander Invite
Austin Groff was the top Highlander finisher at the 2013 Highlander Invite at the Field of Dreams on Saturday.

Houghton finished sixth out of 10 teams, while Alfred placed seventh.

Groff had his best performances in wet and muddy conditions, covering the 8K course in 27:07.85, which was good enough for 10th place and just 35 seconds out of first. Tim McGowan was the second Highlander across the line in 15th (27:23.97), while David Richards was clocked in 28:09.62 for 34th place.

Alfred freshman Kevin Dixon led the AU men, finishing 23rd on the eight-kilometer course in 27:43.92. Freshman Luke Tesoriero was 61st in 29:12.14 and senior Nolan Rummel (Kings Park, NY/Kings Park) was 66th in 29:36.28. 

Monmouth Invitational
The Stevens Institute of Technology men's cross country team totaled 60 points to place second overall among eight teams at the Monmouth University Invitational in Holmdel Park, N.J. on Saturday. All seven scoring runners for Stevens placed within the top 20 and 91 student-athletes competed in the meet.

Senior Michael Cahill paced the Ducks in sixth overall on the five-mile course with a time of 27:30.40. Sophomore Kristopher Trautz finished 16th overall but 11th in scoring in a final time of 28:38.20, while freshman Nicholas Zickgraf finished immediately after Trautz with a time of 28:40.57.
