Mackenzie Donohue at the top of the 18-yard box, turned and fired a left-footed shot at the net which beat the goalie.
About seven minutes later Elmira would strike again as Donohue would get a goal of her own. After dispossessing a Utica player, Donohue carried the ball down into the box and ripped a shot into the lower right area of the goal.
Much of the remaining second half stayed 2-0 in favor of EC, but the Purple and Gold added one more goal in the 88th minute to seal the game.
Mikayla Gowett won possession of the ball just over midfield and took a shot on net. The ball floated through the air and over the keeper's hands for the 3-0 lead, which held to the final whistle.
