SU Men’s Golf Wins Fall Invite

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Susquehanna’s “A” team won the program’s annual SU Men’s Golf Fall Invitational, held from Sept. 28-29 at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club.
The “A” team shot a two-day score of 622 (+54) on the par 71, 5,994-yard course. The Crusaders’ “B” team finished second with a team score of 650, followed by Keystone College in third (658).
Ryan Bruvik (Skillman, N.J./The Hun School),
Stephen Welkie (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) and
Daniel Wilson (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) all tied for first with two-day scores of 149 (+7). Bruvik shot the lowest round of the tournament, a 71, on Monday afternoon. SU’s
Matt Schaffner (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) was sixth (163) followed by
Dylan Gladd (Rensselaer, N.Y./Columbia), who tied for seventh (164).
Anthony Canarie (South Portland, Maine/South Portland) and
Donny DeRemer (Shavertown, Pa./Holy Redeemer) rounded out the top-10 with respective scores of 166 and 167.
Kevin Phelan (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte County Day School) finished with a combined score of 168 and
Timothy Unkles (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards)posted a 170.
The team returns to action on Oct. 3 at the Elizabethtown Fall Blue Jay Classic.
