Katie Kennedy added a score for her third goal of the season. Freshman
Katie Lass made six saves on eight shots, pushing her record to 3-0 on the year.
St. John Fisher 2, Brockport 1 (

Danielle Famolaro collected nine saves including three in the game's final moments to preserve a 2-1 lead over the Brockport Golden Eagles, Wednesday afternoon at Growney Stadium.
The Cardinals held a 2-0 lead in the second half before Brockport could get on the scoreboard. The visitors controlled the tempo for much of the half, outshooting the home team 15-3, but Fisher's defense, led by Famolaro, held strong and kept the Golden Eagles scoreless for the remainder of the half, despite Brockport's best efforts. Brockport had a golden opportunity in the game's final 17 seconds, but as she did the entire game, Famolaro turned the shot away.
RPI 3, Hartwick 2 (

The Hartwick field hockey team traveled to Troy, NY for a non-conference match with RPI on Wednesday afternoon. Despite falling behind 2-0, the Hawks rallied to tie the game but ultimately fell to the Engineers 3-2.
The Hawks first goal came off a penalty corner when Kelly Kramer passed off to Meghan Fay, who redirected the shot into the box to get the Hawks on the board and reduce their deficit to 2-1.
Hartwick still trailed 2-1 late in the half when Catie Santaniello was granted another penalty corner opportunity. After putting the ball in play, Megan Lefeber's crossing shot was redirected by Jessica Ott and past Engineer goalie Hannah Clough to tie the game at 2-all with 4:45 left to play.
The score would stay tied for only 1:42 as the Engineers went ahead 3-2 with 3:03 left on the clock.
Rochester 7, Nazareth 2 (

Nationally ranked No. 18 Rochester scored the first six goals of the game to build a commanding advantage Wednesday as the Yellowjackets spoiled Nazareth's season opener in field hockey with a 7-2 victory over the Golden Flyers at Fauver Stadium.

Magill Woodruff scored second-half goals for the Golden Flyers, who had 10 of their 16 shots in the final 35 minutes.
UR had a 29-16 edge in shots and an 11-10 advantage in penalty corners. Junior
Shannon Winney was in goal for UR's first six goals and made 12 saves. Freshman
Mary Greco played the final 30 minutes and made one save.
Cortland 8, Elmira 1 (

The Elmira College field hockey team (0-1) fell short on the road 8-1 to the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons (2-0) in the season opener.
Lauren Thomas recorded 15 saves for the Soaring Eagles in the 58 minutes and 38 seconds in net.
Mikayla Rebusmen tallied her first minutes of her collegiate career in the net for the Soaring Eagles as she totaled five saves in 10 minutes of action.
Cortland led 3-0 after the first half and put up another goal within three minutes of the second before Elmira was able to respond when McKenna Light scored off a pass from Allison Smith.
