The St. John Fisher College track and field teams returned to action Sunday at the Dartmouth Relays held in Hanover, N.H.  The Cardinals had been idle since competing at the RIT Invite on December 12.
 
On the women's side, Kaylee Zbytek teamed up with Sammy Van Gee, Sydney Saccone and Shannon Davis to earn Fisher a point in the 800 meter relay after finishing in10:51.51 – good for sixth place overall.
 
Zbytek would earn Fisher another point after establishing a new school record in the individual 800 meter race after posting a sixth place finish with a time of 2:26.72.   Julianna Holland also took part in the event, covering the distance in 2:42.16.
 
Jessica Colmerauer earned a 25th place finish in the 400-meter dash as the Canandaigua native crossed the finish line in 64.6.  Saccone wasn't far behind, finishing in 26th place with a time of 64.87.
 
Danyelle Redmond had a strong showing in the pole vault, setting a new school record and qualifying for the NYSCTC meet after finishing sixth with a score of 3.21 meters.
 
Joanna Vassiliou qualified for ECACs after making the finals in the weight throw, finishing eighth overall with a distance of 14.08.  The senior thrower missed registering a point for the Cardinals by less than one meter.
 
Paige Willson also earned a trip to ECACs after taking home 10th place in the shot put with a distance of 11.6 meters. 
 
On the men's side, the 200 meter relay team earned a point as Trevor Wilkes, Joe D'Agostino, Justin Rodriguez and Devin Cornelius captured a sixth place finish among the "A" relay teams after posting a time of 1:35.44.
 
Wilkes also had a strong showing in the 400-meter dash as the Honeoye Falls native claimed 19th place after crossing the finish line in 53.18 seconds. Dylan Cassidy and James McDowell finished on his heels, posting times of 55.25 and 56.45, respectively.
 
Evan Magnussen finished 39th of 57 competitors in the 3000 meter run as the junior completed the event with a time of 9:19.8.
 
In the field, Eric Riley finished eighth overall in the long jump, recording an average distance of 6.22m, while Cornelius earned an 11th place finish with a mark of 5.89 meters.  Malcolm Fowler also fared well, finishing 13th overall with an average of 5.72 meters.  Fowler also finished 11th in the triple jump after tallying a distance of 12.04 meters.
 
The Cardinals will return to competition on Saturday at the RIT Invitational.
