AU women’s swimming and diving team pummels Utica

ALFRED, NY — The Alfred University women's swimming and diving team won every event on its way to a 145-48 win over visiting Utica in the Saxons' season home finale Saturday afternoon.
Junior
Chrissy Behr (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional), sophomores
Carly Watson (Hyde Park, NY/FDR) and
Kelsey McRill (Solon, OH/Solon), freshmen
Faith Lanfear (Port Crane, NY/Chenango Valley) and Dylan Staniszewski (Oakton, VA/Oakton) and senior
Cassie Brown (Canisteo, NY/Canisteo-Greenwood) each won two events for the Saxons, who improved to 3-3 in dual meets this year.
Behr won the 100 backstroke (1:05.31) and Watson took the 100 butterfly (1:05.65); Behr and Watson tied in the 200 freestyle (2:07.21). McRill won the 50 freestyle (26.12) and 100 breaststroke (1:18.53); Lanfear took the 1,000 free (12:09.52) and 500 free (5:53.79); Staniszewski won the 200 individual medley (2:19.71) and 100 free (57.11); and Brown won 1-meter diving (223.50 points) and 3-meter diving (2:10.60).
AU took both relays, with Behr, McRill, Watson and Staniszewski winning the 200 medley relay (2:03.44) and junior
