Brittney Dumas (Easton, CT/Joel Barlow) has added Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Upstate Player of the Week accolades. It is the first ECAC weekly honor of her career.
Dumas shot 53% from the floor, making 26 of her 49 shots, and registered two double-doubles in a 2-1 week for Hartwick. She added 29 rebounds, nine offensive boards, six steals, five assists, and three blocks.
On Tuesday against Vassar, Dumas scored 16 points on 8-of-16 shooting in a two-point loss. She grabbed a game-high nine rebounds, with two assists, two steals, and a blocked shot. Friday, in a comeback 3-point win against St. John Fisher, she again tallied 16 points on 7-of-14 from the floor with a game-high 10 rebounds and two steals. She capped her week in an 18-point victory at Nazareth in which she made 11-of-19 shots for game-highs of 23 points and 10 rebounds. She added three assists, two blocks, and two steals.
Dumas is the Hawks' leading scorer (16.5 ppg) and rebounder (10.5) this season. She also leads Hartwick in blocked shots, is second in steals, and fourth in assists.
