UTICA
The Utica College women's swim team lost to Clarkson University Saturday on Senior Day by a score of 139-97 at the Utica College Pool in the team's final home match of the season. Seniors Jordan Hess and Evelyn Kurzac were honored prior to the competition for all of their hard work and efforts over the years.

Freshman standout Mikey Maxwell guided UC ith three victories on the afternoon, gathering 27 team points.  Mawell won the 100 & 200-yard freestyles with times of 26.65 and 58.91 while wrapping up the day with her third in in the 100-yard butterfly with a clock of 1:08.58. 

Kurzac and Hess combined for 20 points as the senior duo each recorded two second place finishes and one fourth place tally.  Kurzac took second in the 100 & 200-yard backstroke events and fourth in the 100-yard butterfly while Hess posted second in both the 500 & 1000-yard freestyles and fourth in the 200-yard medley.

Sophomore Jessica Schumann finished the day with 12 points for Utica as she finished second in three event.  Schumann collected four points in each in the 200-yard medley as well as in the 100 & 200-yard Breaststrokes. 

ITHACA
The Ithaca College women's swimming and diving team won a dual meet with Rochester Saturday afternoon, outscoring the Yellowjackets by a score of 175-125 at the Speegle-Wilbraham Aquatic Center. The Bombers took the top spot in 9-of-16 events.

The Bombers earned a first place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay, as the team of Erin HackettLake DuffyLyndsay Isaksen and Megan Buisman took the top spot in a time of 3:40.92. Isaksen also earned an individual top spot in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing in a time of 2:17.21. Not to be outdone, Buisman finished the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:11.36 for a first place finish.

Kylie Bangs paced the field of eight in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in a time of 1:00.92 for a first place finish. In the 500-yard freestyle, Miranda Wingfield finished in a time of 5:19.81 to earn the top spot.

Nickie Griesemer swept the diving events, earning first place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 279.38 and the 1-meter dive with a score of 278.25. Both scores marked a season high.

Grace Ayer, the reigning Empire 8 Athlete of the Week, finished first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:29.45. Ayer also earned first place in the 200-yard individual medley, finishing in a time of 2:10.25.


STEVENS
The fourth-ranked Johns Hopkins University women's swimming team defeated ninth-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology, 134-119, Saturday afternoon.
 
Junior Sharon Rooker, junior Brittany Geyer, junior Maria McClure and sophomore Jennifer Rutledge placed third in the 200-yard medley relay to open the event, with freshman standout Danielle Caruso earning the first of her three wins in the 1,000-yard freestyle behind a 10:42.15. Sophomore Elizabeth Heinbach was second with a 10:56.42.
 
Caruso came back to win the 200-yard freestyle, clocking a 1:56.48, and Geyer took second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:08.84.
 
Heinbach and her 2:17.84 was good for fourth place in the 200-yard butterfly, and junior April Lawson was Stevens' top finisher in the 50-yard freestyle, taking third and touching at 25.16.
 
Lawson placed third in the 100-yard freestyle as well with a time of 54.69, and freshman Claire Hendershot was fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:14.77).
 
Geyer picked up a victory in the 200-yard breaststroke, turning in a 2:28.45, with sophomore Elena Piper taking second place with a 2:33.72. Caruso's third and final win of the afternoon was in the 500-yard freestyle as the rookie touched a 5:12.19.

HARTWICK v ALFRED
The Hartwick women's swimming and diving team was victorious over Empire 8 rival Alfred on Saturday afternoon at Moyer Pool. The women won 170-103 to move to 8-6.

Hartwick was led by Kaitlyn CampbellImma RutiglianoClare Nelson, and Gwen Mathias. All four swimmers posted two wins each. Campbell touched the wall first in the 1000 free (11:06.86) and the 100 free (57.25). Rutigliano secured wins in the 200 free (2:01.19) and the 200 back (2:17.20). Nelson was victorious in the 100 breast (1:11.54) and the 200 breast (2:31.73). Mathias won the 200 fly (2:19.37) and the 500 free (5:28.77).

Allison Agate had a win in the 100 back with a time of 1:03.89. Lindsay Bierwert  took first place in the 100 fly in a time of 1:02.86.

The 200 medley relay squad of Rutigliano, Nelson, Bierwert, and Kelsey Elliot were winners in 1:55.76. Elliot joined Campbell, Helen Merkley, and Rachel Bellis in the 200 free relay with a winning time of 1:46.56.

In diving, Lindsay Bowker claimed both events. She had a total of 214 points in the one meter diving portion and 242.50 points in the three meter diving event to post wins.

Alfred junior Chrissy Behr won 50 freestyle (25.98) and was third in the 100 backstroke (1:04.36); freshman Dylan Staniszewski won the 400 individual medley (5:00.60) and was second in the 1,000 free (11:38.73) and 200 free (2:02.51); Carly Watson won the 100 butterfly (1:04.27) and was second in the 200 fly (2:23.38); and Cassie Brown was first in 3-meter diving (197.35 points) and was second in 1-meter diving (208.15).
