Men’s Basketball Player – Hartwick
Jared Suderley, Senior, Forward – Newport, NY/West Canada Valley
Jared Suderley had a solid three games for the Hawks last week as Hartwick went 3-0. He was a combined 21-40 (52.5%) from the field. On Tuesday against Stevens, he scored 24 points and tallied 16 rebounds in Hartwick's 74-68 win. On Saturday, Suderley scored 20 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to go along with four assists in the Hawks' 131-124 OT win against Alfred. Against Houghton on Saturday, he scored a season-high 36 points, 17 rebounds and dished out four assists in a 96-82 victory. Suderley was a perfect 21-of-21 from the free throw line. For the season, he has eight double-double games.
Men’s Basketball Rookie – Hartwick
Justin Pratt, Freshman, Guard – North Kingstown, RI/North Kingstown
Justin Pratt had an impressive week for Hartwick in three games as he shot 17-of-26 (65.4%) from the field. He scored a season high 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting and was 5-of-9 in three-point attempts as the Hawks defeated Stevens 74-68. He followed that performance with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting and was 4-of-5 from beyond the three-point arc in a 131-124 OT win over Alfred. Pratt tallied eight points on 3-of-5 shooting and hit two three-pointers as the Hawks defeated the Highlanders 96-82 on Saturday.
Women’s Basketball Player – Nazareth
Lindsey Kelly, Sophomore, Center – Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East
Lindsey Kelly averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in a pair of conference home games over the weekend. She had 20 points and six rebounds and made the game-winning shot at the buzzer of Friday's 54-53 victory over Utica. She added 21 points and five rebounds in a 63-54 loss to Ithaca Saturday. She shot .630 (17 for 27) from the field in the two games and .875 (7 for 8) from the free throw line.
Women’s Basketball Rookie – Stevens
Erica Guketlov, Freshman, Guard – Spotswood, NJ/Bishop George Ahr
Erica Guketlov averaged 11 points in three games to go along with eight assists, five rebounds and three steals. She opened with 14 points in a loss to Hartwick and then scored 11 points in a win over Houghton. Guketlov finished with eight points in a win over Alfred.
Men’s Indoor Track Athlete – St. John Fisher College
Trevor Wilkes, Sophomore – Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima
Trevor Wilkes had a strong showing last weekend at the RIT Invitational as the sophomore sprinter earned a first-place finish in the 400 meter dash with a time of :52.29. Wilkes missed setting a new program record by less than one second. Wilkes would combine to post another first-place finish in the 4x200 meter relay, crossing the line in 1:35.27.
Men’s Indoor Field Athlete – Stevens
Robert Pinto, Junior – Staten Island, NY/Monsignor Farrell
At the Ramapo College Indoor Select at the New York City Armory, junior Robert Pinto took first overall in the high jump with a school-record-tying mark of 2.03 meters (6 feet, 8 inches). Pinto's effort currently stands as the third highest jump in NCAA Division III.
Women’s Indoor Track Athlete – Stevens
Amy Regan, Sophomore – Green Brook, NJ/Watchung Hills
In the Ramapo College Indoor Select at the New York City Armory, sophomore Amy Regan finished first overall in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 9:47.59 which was 10 seconds faster than the next closest runner. Regan broke her own school record by 27 seconds and set the NCAA Division III facility standard. Her time is also the fastest performance in DIII this season and is a qualifying mark for ECAC's. If her time stays within the top 17 nationally at the end of the season, Regan will compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Women’s Indoor Field Athlete – Utica
Sarah Wiatr, Sophomore – Poland, NY/West Canada Valley
Sophomore Sarah Wiatr, of the Utica College women's track & field teams, posted an early season victory Saturday at the SLU Invite in Canton, NY. Wiatr took first in the women's triple jump with an ECAC leap of 10.93 as she collected 10 points for UC.
