Jared Suderley (Newport, NY/West Canada Valley) added his second weekly accolate as he was named to the
D3hoops.com Team of the Week. On Monday, he was named the Empire 8 Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Suderley led the Hawks in scoring in two of three games last week as Hartwick went 3-0. He was a combined 21-40 (52.5%) from the field. On Tuesday against Stevens, he scored 24 points and tallied 16 rebounds in Hartwick's 74-68 win. On Friday, Suderley scored 20 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to go along with four assists in the Hawks' 131-124 OT win against Alfred. Against Houghton on Saturday, he scored a season-high 36 points, pulled down 17 rebounds, and dished out four assists in a 96-82 victory. Suderley was also a perfect 21-of-21 from the free throw line.
Suderley leads the Hawks in scoring (20.2 ppg) and in rebounds (10.6). He also leads Hartwick in field goal percentage and free throw percentage, is second in steals, third in blocks, and fourth in assists.
