E8 Championship Set for Saturday at Glazer Arena
Ithaca College’s Glazer Arena – Athletics & Events Center will be a popular Empire 8 attraction on Saturday as conference teams compete in the 2014 E8 Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Competition in the 15-event affair begins at 10:30 a.m. and continues through the awards ceremony with an estimated time of 3:30 p.m.
The Empire 8 Championships consist of seven teams on both the men’s and women’s side. It is important to note that athletes from NCAA Provisional member Houghton College are eligible for individual honors, however the team is not eligible for the team title.
Last season, the Ithaca women won their sixth consecutive title as they scored 199 points, while the Bomber men scored 142 en route their sixth straight championship.
