Ithaca Women's Track & Field Team Ranks Third Regionally
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team ranks third with 233.60 points in week one of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association
Atlantic Region poll.
The Bombers have a trio of performances earning points towards a national ranking. Junior
Emilia Scheemaker (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) has the best triple jump mark in the country with a school-record leap of 12.25 meters. Classmate
Alex Rechen (Simsbury, Conn./Simsbury) has cleared 3.45 meters in the pole vault and rookie
Natalie Meyer (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) 1.67 meters in the high jump to earn points.
Ithaca will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 1 hosting the Empire 8 Indoor Championship at Glazer Arena.
