Senior forward leads Golden Flyers in scoring, rebounding

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Brad Ford, senior forward on the Nazareth College men's basketball team, has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the second year in a row.

Ford, of Victor, N.Y. and a graduate of Victor High School, was named to the first team in District 3, which encompasses all Division III schools in New York state. To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or better. Ford will now be placed on the national ballot for consideration as an Academic All-American. Last year he earned second-team Academic All-America honors.

Through 17 games this season, Ford leads the Golden Flyers in scoring (17.9 ppg.) and rebounding (10.5 rpg.) with 18 three-point baskets and a team-best 27 steals. He has recorded 10 double-doubles (points and rebounds) this season. He has amassed more than 1,300 career points and ranks second on the college's all-time rebounding list with 848 (9.2 per game).

In the classroom, Ford carries a grade-point average of 3.83 as a Business Administration major. He completed his undergraduate requirements in December and is currently taking graduate courses. He is a member of the Empire 8 Conference President's List and last season was chosen as a second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star.
