Nazareth 79, Houghton 71 (Box Score)
Sophomore Maurice Mills erupted for a career-high 23 points for visiting Nazareth Saturday as the Golden Flyers held off Houghton for a 79-71 men's basketball victory in a non-conference game. Sophomore Steve Soltysik also came off the bench to hit a pair of three-point baskets and finished with a career-best eight points.

Mills made 8 of 12 shots from the field and 7 of 10 free throws to amass his 23 points. He also had eight rebounds and three blocks. Senior Scott Hayford contributed 13 points and sophomore Mitch Ford had 12 points and eight rebounds.

Nazareth made 25 of 55 shots(45.5 percent)  from the field, including 6 of 17 (35.3 percent) from three-point range. The Golden Flyers also connected on 23 of 31 free throws (74.2 percent). Nazareth also enjoyed a 40-29 rebounding advantage. Jordan Christensen came off the bench to be Houghton's high scorer with 18 points.  FULL STORY


St. John Fisher 59, Elmira 44 (Box Score)
The St. John Fisher College men's basketball team continued its hot streak Saturday pushing past host Elimira College 59-44 in Empire 8 action. 

After leading 32-23 at the break Fisher took a double-digit lead for good at the 16:25 mark paced by the play of Keegan Ryan and Adam Ambielli.  The duo combined to score 12 of the teams first 14 points to give Fisher a 46-31 advantage near the midway point of the half and the Cardinals never looked back.  FULL STORY 



Stevens 75, Ithaca 50 (Box Score)
Senior guard Matt Skrelja scored a career-high 26 points to help push the Stevens Institute of Technology men's basketball team to a convincing 75-50 win over Ithaca College Saturday in an Empire 8 showdown.
 
Stevens shot 38.5 percent for the game (25-for-65) but converted 52.9 percent of its attempts in the first half. The Ducks were 4-for-17 from deep and hit 21 of their 23 attempts (91.3 percent) at the free-throw line.
 
Skrelja finished with 26 points on 11-of-13 shooting, five rebounds, three assists and four steals. Gan had 10 points, eight rebounds and two assists, while Sabatino finished with nine points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Senior guard Andrew Meszaros tallied five steals, while sophomore forward Alex Lorenz had three blocked shots.
 
Stevens scored 38 points in the paint and never relinquished the lead. The Ducks scored 25 points off 25 Ithaca turnovers, while finishing the game with 15 steals and six blocks as a team.
 
Ithaca was led by sophomore center Andrew Brandt who scored a team-high nine points and pulled down 18 rebounds.
 
The Bombers shot 16-for-52 (30.8 percent) from the field, 5-for-20 from deep and 13-for-27 at the line. They also held a 46-39 rebounding advantage.  FULL STORY 


Hartwick 92, Utica 77 (Box Score)
Four starters scored in double figures led by Kyle Bradley's career-high 31 points the Hartwick men's team held off a late Utica rally to defeat the Pioneers 92-77 on Saturday afternoon at Lambros Arena. The win, which is the second straight for the Hawks, gives Hartwick an overall record of 6-5 and 2-0 in the E8. Utica falls to 5-5 overall and 0-2 in the E8.

Bradley shot 13-of-15 from the field and also added 10 rebounds. Joey Lufkin scored 19 points. Matt Petruccione added 16 points and Jared Suderley added 11 points.  FULL STORY
