Bombers No. 20 in NSCAA National Poll

The Ithaca College women's soccer team dropped one spot to No. 20 in the latest release of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America National Poll. Ithaca is 7-1-0, including a mark of 3-0 in conference play.

The Bombers picked up two conference wins last week with a 1-0 victory over Elmira on Wednesday and a 2-0 win against Houghton on Saturday. 

Against Elmira, senior Kelly Pantason scored for the Bombers, while junior goalkeeper Beth Coppolecchia stopped all three Elmira shots in the win. Ithaca recorded 19 total shots and held the Soaring Eagles to just five. 

in the game against Houghton, juniors Sarah Woychick and Kelsey King scored for the Bombers, while Coppolecchia stopped two Houghton shots for the shutout win. Ithaca outshot the Highlanders by a 21-6 margin, with 11 of the Bombers' shots going on goal.

The Bombers' next game is at Carp Wood Field today, Wednesday, Oct. 1 against Marywood. The match is set to start at 4 p.m.
