Ithaca Defends Title At Wittenberg
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- The Ithaca College women's golf team shot an opening-round total of 314 and followed with a second-round score of 319 for a two-day total of 633 and won the championship of the Pat Clouse Invitational hosted by Wittenberg. Ithaca sophomore
Kimberley Wong was the tournament medalist, her first-career tournament championship as a collegiate player. She won with an opening-round 75 and a Sunday score of 76 for a total of 151, which was her lowest career score for a two-round tournament.
Ithaca finished with a 10-shot advantage over the host school, and 26-shot margin over third-place DePauw. A total of 15 teams competed at the event at Springfield Country Club, which played to a par 72 at 5,809 yards. The Bombers have won the tournament in back-to-back seasons. Ithaca completed its fall season with three first-place finishes and three second-place finishes in six tournaments.

Kelsey Baker turned in solid performances to help Ithaca's championship weekend. Li scored a 75 in the second round, the lowest score by any player in the field on Sunday, to finish with a total of 155 and a tied-for-third place finish in the individual standings. Baker opened with a 79, posted 81 on Sunday, and her score of 160 was good for a tie for seventh.
Ithaca freshman
Indiana Jones finished in a tie for 14th in the individual standings. Jones shot an opening-round 80 and then scored 87 on Sunday to complete the team scoring.
Taylor Reeves was Ithaca's fifth player in the lineup and scored 82-98 for 180 and a tie for 41st in the individual standings.
Kyra Denish competed as an individual and shot 94 in the first round and 100 in the second round.
