E8 Spotlight: Jordan Andrews

Jordan Andrews (Warsaw, NY/Letchworth) is a junior defensive lineman for the St. John Fisher College football team and majors in chemistry.
Career Stats
Why did you choose to attend St. John Fisher? I chose to attend St. John Fisher because of the great athletic and academic programs, and also the size of the school was attractive to me.
What has been the greatest part of your experience as a college athlete? When we beat John Carroll in the playoffs last year and made it all the way to the Elite 8, it was really something special. It gave me my first taste of collegiate post-season competition and I want more.
Who has been the most influential person during your athletic career? Why? I would have to say my Dad. He has always been there for me through thick and thin and always has great advice for any situation, both in athletics and in life.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Well, I am a chemistry major here at Fisher so hopefully doing something with that.
What do you like most about competing in the E8? I love the competition and rivalries between schools. Every conference game is a battle and you have to play all 60 minutes.
What do you do in your spare time? I really enjoy listening to music and hanging out with my buddies. I also enjoy playing basketball in the offseason.
Top 3 things on your bucket list? As a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, I would really like to see a game in Cowboys Stadium. I would like to travel around the U.S. and see all of the great American Cities. And honestly, I know it sounds cliché, but I would really like to win a national championship.
What is something most people don’t know about you? I was a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz my senior year of high school.
Invite four famous people, living or dead, to a dinner party: I would have to go with Larry Bird, Steve Jobs, Robert Frost, and Christian Bale.
