The Ithaca College and Nazareth College women's soccer teams are representing the Empire 8 in the national rankings.  The Bombers stand at No. 17, followed by the Golden Flyers at No. 22 in the latest release of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America National Poll.

Ithaca (11-2, 6-1) moved up three spots to No. 17 after a 1-0 week. Ithaca recorded a 2-0 victory over St. John Fisher Saturday afternoon behind two goals from E8 Offensive Player of the Week Megan Nash.

The Bombers return to Carp Wood Field on Tuesday, Oct. 21 to take on Oneonta in a non-conference game. Start time is scheduled for 3 p.m. Ithaca then hosts Hartwick on Saturday in its final E8 game.

Nazareth is 10-3-1, including a mark of 5-1 in conference play. After receiving votes last week, the Golden Flyers went 1-0. Junior Briana Vibbard scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season just 1:28 into the game Saturday and that tally held up the rest of the way the Golden Flyers gained a key Empire 8 women's soccer victory, 1-0, over Stevens.

Nazareth has two more conference games remaining -- at home Tuesday, Oct 21 against Alfred at 7 p.m. on the artificial turf field and Saturday at home against Utica at 1 p.m.
