BROCKPORT 17, Hartwick 12
Another week and another exciting finish for The College at Brockport Football team as the Golden Eagles scored a 17-12 victory over Hartwick College Saturday afternoon in an Empire 8 game at Wright Stadium in Oneonta.
The Hawks (2-5 overall, 1-4 Empire 8) had a chance to take the lead in the closing seconds but a fourth down play with less than a minute to play ended with a pass that was caught near the back of the end zone but the Hartwick receiver landed out of bounds for the incomplete pass giving the ball back to Brockport (5-2, 3-2) to run out the clock.
It is the second week in a row the game has come down to the final play with the Brockport defense on the field and able to hang on for the victory. Last week in Alfred, the Golden Eagles intercepted a Hali Mary pass into the end zone on the final play of the game.

ST. JOHN FISHER 61, Alfred State 0
The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College football team saw eight different players find the end zone as the visiting Cardinals blanked Alfred State 61-0 on Saturday at Pioneer Stadium. It was the first time Fisher held an opponent scoreless since it blanked Otterbein University 28-0 to open up the 2013 season.
With the win No. 15 Fisher improves to 6-1 overall, while Alfred State falls to 2-5.
The Fisher defense was up to the challenge of stopping Rasheed Williams, Alfred State's back who was averaging 206 yards per game and topped 100 yards in each of the previous six games. Williams was held to just two yards on sixteen carries in the game as the Pioneers finished with a -4 net on the ground and just 61 yards of total offense, both school records.
Fisher made good on an early Alfred State turnover as defensive back Anthony Lee jarred the ball loose and Mike Donitzen scooped up the fumble, scampering 28 yards to the Alfred State 12 yard line. Three plays later, Tyler Fenti found a familiar target, Nathan Nigolian, for a 5-yard score.
On its next possession Fisher converted a long 3rd and 13 as Fenti connected with Rob Riggio behind the defense for a 58-yard touchdown seven minutes into the game. It was Riggio's first touchdown of the season.
Fenti continued his efficient day on the next drive hooking up with James Chambers on a 27-yard wheel route, his third receiving touchdown of the year to put Fisher up 21-0. FULL STORY
