2014-15 Season Preview
HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 25, 2014) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's swimming team started its 2014-15 season with a bang, rolling to a 167.5-94.5 win over Saint Peter's University Saturday afternoon in the DeBaun Aquatic Center.
The Ducks won 10-of-14 events on the day en route to a 1-0 record on the young season.

Tomasz Wolinski teamed to take first in the 200-yard medley relay, clocking a 1:35.71 and earning 11 team points.

The Ducks also took third in the 200-medley, with sophomore
William Arnott and freshman
Connor Harrigan placing first and second in the 1,000-yard freestyle behind times of 9:54.05 and 10:04.37.
Wolinski tallied a win in the 200-yard freestyle, touching at 1:45.30, as senior
Alex Xu was second thanks to a 1:46.46. Sun pocketed a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (52.64) and sophomore
Austen Young was second via his 54.41.
Freshman
David Duque led the Ducks in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching third with a 1:01.37, while senior
Price Hu was second in the 200-yard butterfly (1:56.61). Lefeber took home the top-spot in the 50-yard freestyle after touching at 21.84, and Wolinski picked up his second win of the day with a 47.41 in the 100-yard freestyle. Lefeber was third in the 100-free with a 48.20.
Sun's second victory of the afternoon came in the 200-yard backstroke. He clocked a 1:52.12, and sophomore
Doug Sholander was third with a time of 2:06.54. Junior
Dane Pilcher and sophomore
Alex Chen finished two-three in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.22, 2:17.28), and the Ducks came back to sweep the top-three spots in the 500-yard freestyle. Arnott notched his second win of the day, and he was followed by freshman
James Betz and Harrigan in second and third (4:52.13, 4:53.96, 4:54.06).
Young earned a first in the 100-yard butterfly (51.90), with freshman
Brennan Maxwell tying for second thanks to a 53.32.
Sun and Lefeber were two and three in the 200-yard individual medley, clocking times of 1:58.08 and 1:58.47, respectively, while the team of freshman
Ethan Gehenio, Duque, Rees and Wolinski ended the meet by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:12.40.
Stevens will return to competitive action at the NYU Fall Invite on November 7 and 8. The Ducks will square off with New York University and SUNY New Paltz at that event.
