Saxon's drop matchup with RIT
ROCHESTER, NY — The Alfred University women's swimming and diving team fell in a dual meet at RIT Saturday, losing by a count of 132-94.
Sophomore
Dylan Staniszewski (Oakton, VA/Oakton) and senior
Chrissy Behr (Surf City, NJ/Southern Regional)each won two events to pace the Saxons. Staniszewski took the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.21) and 100-yard freestyle (56.78) and Behr won the 50-yard free (25.50) and 100-yard backstroke (1:02.30).
Junior
Kelsey McRill (Solon, OH/Solon) was second in the 50 free (26.20) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:16.02) to help lead the Saxons.
The AU team of Behr, junior
Emma Gromelski (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights), McRill and Staniszewski won the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:44.98.
AU is in action next on Saturday, Nov. 8, when the Saxons host a tri-meet with William Smith and Mansfield.
