ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's swimming & diving team defeated Rensselaer Saturday afternoon by a score of 164-136 at the A&E Center Aquatics Pavilion. The Bombers earned seven total first-place finishes on the day.
 
Ithaca opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Kylie Bangs, Samantha Reilly, Christine Zulkosky and Lake Duffy earned first place with a time of 1:51.96.
 
Duffy carried her momentum into the 50-yard freestyle, as the sophomore took the top spot with a time of 25.11. Reilly also achieved individual success, finishing first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.56.
 
Sophomore Grace Ayer had another strong showing, earning three individual first place finishes in the meet. She started with the top spot in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing first with a time of 2:11.11. She continued with a time of 2:13.11 in the 200-yard IM for her second first-place finish of the day. She also earned first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.67.
 
The Bombers closed out the meet with another top relay finish, as Cassie Papaleo, Duffy, Ayer and Lauren Cox finished first in the 400-yard freestyle with a time of 3:43.36.
 
The Bombers are back in action on Nov. 5, as they welcome the Herons of William Smith to the A&E Center Aquatics Pavilion.
