Nazareth and Alfred Fall Short
Brockport 3, NAZARETH 2
Visiting Nazareth rallied from a two-set deficit to square Tuesday's women's volleyball match against Brockport, the hosts regrouped to take the fifth and deciding set to win the non-conference match over the Golden Flyers. Scores were 25-13, 25-21, 20-25, 21-25, 15-11.
Nazareth has now lost three of its last four to drop to 21-9 overall. Brockport improved to 20-11. The Golden Flyers close out their regular-season home schedule Wednesday with another non-conference match against Geneseo at 7 p.m.
Senior
Maria Allocco led Nazareth with 16 kills with five errors in 29 swings. Junior

Madi Wickens amassed 42 assists, five digs and four service aces. Sophomore
Maureen Thayer contributed 26 digs and senior
Olivia Harrigan had 17 more.
Hilbert 3, ALFRED 1 (

The Alfred University women's volleyball team fell in non-conference action on the road at Hilbert College in four sets, 3-1 with set scores of 22-25, 23-25, 25-23, 14-25 Tuesday evening during its final solo road match of the season.
Freshmen
Jacquelynn Hicks (Greenville, NY/Greenville) and
Heather D'Andrea (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) led the Saxon efforts scoring 13 and 11 points, respectively. Hick finished nine of her 35 attacks as well as served three aces and had one solo block. D'Andrea had eight kills off of 35 attempts, two aces and two assisted blocks.
Junior
Chelsea Pietrzykowski (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) had the highest attack percentage of the game, recording eight kills off of 25 total attacks (.160). Hicks' three aces were also a game-high which was tied by sophomore
Mary Lou Patnaude (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake). Patnaude tacked on 19 digs, four kills and two block assists on the evening.
Sophomore
Valerie Cardillo (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) finished the evening with 25 digs and one ace while freshman
Aubrey Totsline (Rochester, NY/Fairport) posted 28 assists.
The loss drops the Saxons to a 5-23 overall record while the Hawks move to 5-25. The Saxons' Empire 8 Conference play concluded last week with the 3-1 win over Hartwick College as they finish the season with a 1-7 mark. They will next round out the season with a three-match tournament on Friday, October 31 at Houghton College to face Buffalo State at 6:00 pm and on Saturday, November 1 against SUNY Cortland at 1:00 pm and the host Highlanders at 3:00 pm.
