Regan Tops 360 Runners; E8 Runners Compete at Geneseo Invitational

PAUL SHORT RESULTS
Stevens junior Amy Regan bested the field of 360 runners throughout all three NCAA Divisions at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday.

Regan ran a time of 20:42 and beat the next closest competitor by nearly one minute on the 6K Brown course. Of the top 10 runners, Regan was the only DIII student-athlete, and the next closest DIII runner placed 12th in 21:59.

Her pace time for the course was 5:33, which was 13 seconds faster than the runner-up. It is also a 33-second personal best for the Green Brook, N.J. native and one minute faster than her time from a year ago.

Stevens' other six runners within the top seven also clocked personal best 6K's.

Sophomore Kathleen Kalbian (Cheshire, Conn.) completed the course in 23:10, while senior Christine Hecker (South Hampton, N.J.) finished the race in 23:36.

Sophomore Kaela Earrusso (Sparta, N.J.) ran a time of 24:07, and junior Janice Frontera (Sayreville, N.J.) crossed in 24:37.

The final two runners for Stevens, freshmen Lauren Logan (Kensington, Md.) and Katrina Brodecki (Media, Pa.), finished in 24:41 and 26:05, respectively.


GENESEO INVITATIONAL  RESULTS 
ITHACA
The Ithaca College women's cross country team finished 7th out of 19 teams Saturday at Letchworth State Park for the Geneseo Invitational.

Seniors Hannah Wright and Emily Smith led the Bombers' top seven with times of 22:50.7 and 22:53.2. Wright recorded a personal best time finishing 29th out of 286 competitors. Smith crossed the finish line next to place 30th overall.

Senior Alexa Rick ranked 43rd overall in 23:13.5 for the six-kilometer race.

Graduate student Allison Bartkowiak and junior Anna Fay finished in 52nd and 53rd place for the Bombers. Bartkowiak clocked a time of 23:19.9 with Fay close behind at 23:20.6.

Rounding out Ithaca's top seven, with times of 23:22.9 and 23:24.4 were senior Anastasia Diamond and junior Michaela Cioffredi. Cioffredi's time was a personal best for her at that distance. Diamond and Cioffredi earned 56th and 57th place finishes.

NAZARETH
The Golden Flyers, spearheaded by a 12th-place individual finish by junior Gabrielle LeBihan, finished in 10th place in the women's 6-kilometer race with 287 points. 

LeBihan broke the Nazareth school record for 6 kilometers with a time of 22:17.9, eclipsing a time of 22:37 by Jessica Brown in 2007. LeBihan also ran more than a minute faster than her time of 23:32.1 from the Yellowjacket Invitational at Genesee Valley Park two weeks ago. Geneseo's Cassie Goodman won the race in 21:29.4.

Other top performers for the Golden Flyers included sophomore Emily Thompson in 34th place (22:54.2); junior Robin Wagner in 106th place (24:13.0); freshman Kimmy Lovett in 107th place (24:13.6); and sophomore Jamie DiSalvo in 115th place (24:21.0). Other competitors were senior Michaela Gildemeyer in 149th place (24:48.5); juniorBlair Meeson in 179th place (25:11.9); freshmen Claire Ludington in 186th place (25:19.3) and Andrea Larnard in 195th place (25:30.5) and senior Kassandra Lathrop in 249th place (27:35.2). 

SJFC
The St. John Fisher College women's cross country team placed 16th among 19 teams at the Geneseo Invite on Saturday.

Sammy Van Gee finished the six kilometers first for the Cardinals, who tallied 404 total points. The sophomore finished 42nd at 23:13.2.

Katlin Shippy followed right behind Van Gee, finishing 1.7 seconds later for 47th place. Nicole Graziadei came in a minute later at 24:12.5 for 78th place.
 
Fisher's other top-five runners included Sarah Coon and Sarah Harrington, who finished 117th and 120th, respectively.

UTICA 
Junior Ashton Villeneuve placed 33rd out of 133 runners Saturday to lead the Utica College women's cross country team to a 17th place finish at the Geneseo Invitational  held at the High Banks Area of Letchworth State Park. 
 
The Pioneers head to nearby Clinton, NY next Saturday for the Hamilton College Invitational.  The women's race is set for 11 a.m. at Hamilton College's Cross Country Course.
 
Villeneuve clocked a final time of 22:56 as she placed first for UC in every race this Fall.  Junior Samantha Bennett finished second for Utica and 104th overall with a watch of 24:57.
 
Sophomore's Sarah DePalmaKatherine Pearce and Abby Schaible completed the Pioneer scorecard all finishing within 1:20 apart.  DePalma took 113th place with a clock of 25:20 while Pearce crossed the finish in 119th and Schaible in 125th.

ELMIRA
Competing in the most competitive meet so far, the Elmira College women's cross country team placed 19th at the Geneseo Invitational today. The Soaring Eagles finished with 634 team points in today's action.
 
Hannah Lundgren '18 led the EC women with a time of 25:29.7 to place 116th today. Julia Ashey '17 finished the meet with a 128th place finish with a time of 28:14.1. Shannon Dole '17 finished right behind Ashey, in 129th place, with a time of 28:20.8. Danielle Slate '17 improved her 6,000 meter time by over two minutes with a 29:07.2 to place 130th overall.
