ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. (October 4, 2014) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team shot a 324 Saturday to put them in a tie for 10th place after day one of the Mason Dixon Classic.

The two day tournament is being held at the par 72 Bridges Golf Club in Abbottstown, Pa.

Senior Cameron Hill, sophomore Frank Szucs, and junior Justin Niemeier all tied for the team lead with an 80 while freshman Austin Binder shot an 84. Stevens and the field battled chilly and windy conditions throughout the afternoon.

The 80 is the second lowest score of the season for Niemeier who shot a 79 in day two of the Empire 8 Championship two weekends ago.

Franklin and Marshall College is in first place with a 307 while Al El Kordi-Hubbard of Stevenson University leads individually after a 69.
