Stevens Completes Play At Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (October 5, 2014) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team won several matches over the weekend while competing in the Lehigh Invitational.
The two day four team tournament was held on the campus of Lehigh University where Stevens was the only Division III team represented. Throughout the weekend, Stevens faced doubles and singles matchups with players from Lehigh University, Temple University, and Monmouth University.
SATURDAY
Juniors
Matthew Heinrich and
Ben Foran picked up where they left off from their Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regional Championship with a doubles win over Monmouth. In singles, Heinrich won 7-5, 6-3 over Monmouth, Foran won 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 over Monmouth, sophomore
Charles Drake won 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 over Lehigh, and freshman
Kyle Henry won 6-4, 6-3 over Lehigh.
SUNDAY
Heinrich and Foran continued their hot play together with an 8-5 win on Sunday over Temple while sophomore
Michael Feldman and Henry picked up their first win of the weekend in doubles with an 8-5 victory over Temple. Heinrich followed suit with a 6-1, 6-4 win in singles, followed by a win for freshman
Charles Drake, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6.
The Ducks concluded the day with four doubles and seven singles matches against Lehigh in which Stevens won once with Heinrich and Foran's 8-3 win at first doubles. The win was the ninth of the fall season for the Stevens doubles aces.
FALL FINALE
The weekend marked the end of the fall season for the Ducks with just Heinrich and Foran's ITA Nationals appearance remaining starting on Oct. 9. Follow the duo directly on Twitter @Ducks_Tennis.
