AURORA, NY – Freshman Sierra Bentley (Worcester, NY/Schenevus) scored three times in the first half to lead Hartwick's women's soccer team to its seventh win of the season on Sunday in a 5-0 win over Wells.
           
Bentley opened the scoring with two goals inside 10 minutes. She headed in a corner kick at 7:22 with Kylie Thayer (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) picking up an assist. She added her second from Cami Cleaveland (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) 2:05 later.
           
Casey Boucher (Northbridge, MA/ Northbridge) added to the Hartwick lead in the 22nd minute with a goal to extend the Hawks' advantage to 3-0. Kylie Thayer (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) earned the assist.
           
Bentley tacked on her third 6:39 from halftime on a header. Megan McGillycuddy (Glenville, NY/Scotia-Glenville) served the assist.
           
In the second half, with the game in hand, McGilycuddy added to Hartwick's total with a goal off a corner kick 3:09 from the final whistle.
           
The Hawks dominated in terms or shots, 31-4. They had 12 corners to the Express' two in the match.
