Ithaca and Stevens picked up another conference win today, while Alfred won a non-conference match. All three teams have secured a place in the Empire 8 women's tennis championships, which will be hosted by Stevens on Oct. 18-19.

ITHACA 9, ST. JOHN FISHER 0
The Ithaca College women's tennis team returned to the win column in a 9-0 victory over St. John Fisher in an Empire 8 dual match Saturday afternoon at the Wheeler Tennis Courts. Ithaca dropped just two games in sweeping the doubles victories, then won all six singles matches in straight sets.

Haley Kusak and Carly Siegel won 8-0 at first doubles. Alyssa Steinweis and Kelly Fishback were 6-0, 6-0 winners at third singles and fourth singles.

STEVENS 6, ELMIRA 3
The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team completed a perfect regular season with a 6-3 win over Elmira College Sunday.  The win puts Stevens at 10-0 while Elmira dropped to 7-2.
 
As they did the day before, senior Jessica Bourque and junior Alexis Connor got the Ducks on the board early with a dominant 8-3 win at first doubles. Elmira bounced back with a win at No. 3, but the Ducks were able to recover with a 9-7 win at No. 2 for freshman Katrina Guido and senior Danielle Stewart over senior Amy Schmidt and freshman Rebecca Zeuschner.
 
Elmira evened things up with a win at third singles, but Stevens answered with a win at No. 4 for Guignard over Schmidt, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, then another at No. 1 for Bourque over freshman Kimberly Salkin, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4. Needing one more win, Connor got the job done again for the Ducks with a 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 win over senior Kayla Fitzgerald at No. 4.
 
Masciana recorded the Ducks sixth point of the match with a 6-3, 2-6, 10-4 win at No. 6.
