The field is set for the 2014 Empire 8 Women's Tennis Championship Tournament. Stevens Institute of Technology earned the top seed with a perfect 8-0 league mark and will host the E8's which take place Oct. 18-19.

Ithaca College (6-1) still has one match left to play but has secured the No. 2 seed. Even if the Bombers drop their final E8 match they will finish at 6-2 in a tie with Elmira, but Ithaca defeated the Soaring Eagles head-to-head for the advantage in the tie-breaker.

Elmira qualified for the year-end conference tournament for the second consecutive season as the No. 3 seed.  The Soaring Eagles posted a 6-2 E8 mark, including a win over a Nazareth for the first time since before the 2000 season, a stretch of 20 matches including the postseason.

Alfred secured the school's first-ever berth in the four-team Empire 8 championship tournament with a 5-3 league record. Alfred has competed in the past in the E8 championships, when all league schools made the field. This marks the first time AU has qualified since the league made it a four-team championship starting in 2007..
