Stevens and Elmira Selected for 2014 ECAC Tournament

After finishing the regular-season with a 14-8 record, Richard Stockton College was selected as the No. 1 seed in the 2014 ECAC Division III Metro/Upstate Women’s Soccer Championship. The tournament is an eight-team field with a quarterfinal round followed by a semifinal and championship round.

In the first-round contests on Wednesday, November 10, Richard Stockton (14-8) will host Elmira College (7-6-3) while the second seed Rutgers Newark (12-7-2) will host No. 7 Lehman College (8-7-1). No. 3 Sage Colleges (10-5-2) will host College of Staten Island (9-8-2) and Kean University (10-6-2) will travel to take on Stevens Institute of Technology (11-7) in the No. 4/No. 5 match-up.

The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, November 15th hosted by the highest remaining seed. The winner of Richard Stockton/Elmira will face the winner of Stevens Institute of Technology/Kean University in one semifinal and the winner of Rutgers Newark/Lehman and the winner of Sage Colleges/College of Staten Island in the other semifinal. The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, November 16 for the championship at the same site.
