Four ECAC Athletes of the Week
Three football players and one volleyball player have been honored as the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Northwest and Metro/Upstate Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of Nov. 3-9, 2014.
Division III – Northwest - Football
Offensive Player of the Week
Ryan Carney, Buffalo State, Junior, WR, Olean, N.Y
Carney hauled in nine catches for a career-high 229 yards and three touchdowns in the Bengals’ 35-10 victory over Hartwick on Saturday. Carney's touchdown receptions covered 15, 52 and 39 yards.
Defensive Player of the Week
Noah Poskanzer, Ithaca College, Junior, S, Slingerlands, N.Y.
Poskanzer was a part of three forced turnovers for an Ithaca defense that held St. John Fisher to just eight points. The junior safety had two interceptions, both of them ending St. John Fisher drives deep in Ithaca territory, and also forced a fumble that led to the Bombers' first score.
Co-Special Teams Players of the Week
Alex Potocko, Salisbury University, Freshman, K, Clarksville, Md.
Potocko scored 10 of Salisbury's 40 points in a 40-28 win over Brockport on Saturday. In addition to four point-after attempts, Potocko made a 37-yard field goal in the first quarter to give Salisbury a two-possession lead, and hit again from 33 yards in the second quarter.

Rookie of the Week
Brianna Evans- Stevens Institute of Technology, Fr., OH, Spokane, Wash.
Evans helped the Ducks secure its first Empire 8 Championship since 2009 after recording 21 kills and 23 digs over six sets last week. The rookie recorded a team-high 10 kills and 12 digs in the title match.
