Four E8 Teams Earn Bids to ECAC Bowl Championship Games
DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced the participants of the 2014 ECAC Division III Football Bowl Championships. The Conference will sponsor seven regional bowl games this fall for teams located in the Northeast, Northwest, North Central, North Atlantic, Southeast, Southwest and South Atlantic sections of the ECAC footprint. The games will be held at campus sites on Saturday, Nov. 22.
In the North, there will be games held in Massachusetts and New York. The Northwest Bowl will feature Western Connecticut State University (7-3) at St. John Fisher College (8-2) with a 12 p.m. kick-off. In the North Central Championship, Morrisville State College (8-2) will host Utica College (7-3) at 1:00 p.m., and in the Northeast, Norwich University (7-3) will host Salve Regina University (6-4) at 12:00 p.m. The North Atlantic Bowl Championship showcases Framingham State University (9-1) as host to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (6-4) at 12:00 p.m.
The South will host its three Bowl Championships at institutions located in Pennsylvania and Maryland. In the South Atlantic Bowl Championship, Salisbury University (6-4) will host Albright College (6-4) at 12:00 p.m. In the Southeast, Stevenson University (7-3) plays host to Bethany College (6-4) at 2:00 p.m., while the Southwest will pit Buffalo State College (7-3) at Waynesburg University (8-2) with a 1:00 p.m. kick-off.
