HOBOKEN, N.J.
– The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team is ranked eighth nationally according to the latest poll released by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), it was announced Wednesday morning.

Emory tops the poll and is followed by Kenyon, Denison, Johns Hopkins, Washington U, New York University and the University of Chicago. Next are the Ducks, as Gustavus Adolphus and Wheaton (Il.) round out the top-10.

MIT is ranked No. 11, Carnegie Melon is No. 19 as the Ducks check in as the only school in the state of New Jersey to be ranked and the only school in the Empire 8 Conference to crack the top-25.

Currently, the Ducks have an overall record of 1-0, swimming in exhibition at Columbia University, defeating DI Saint Peter's and placing second (of four) at the NYU Fall Invite. Sophomore Danielle Caruso was named the Empire 8 Swimmer of the Week on November 11 for a strong performance in Manhattan, and the Ducks will look to continue swimming well this weekend at F&M.

The Franklin & Marshall College Invitational is a three-day championship-style meet in which Stevens has been tapering, and it will look to get as many student-athletes as possible qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship slated to run from March 18-21 in Shenandoah, Texas.
