Ithaca's WXC Team Competes at NCAA Championship

MASON, Ohio-- The Ithaca College women's cross country team ran at the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship for the 22nd time in program history on Saturday Nov. 22. The Bombers placed 31st at the championships, which was held at The Golf Center at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio.
Senior
Emily Smith led the Bombers in the NCAA meet with a time of 23:37.7 to finish 155th out of 275 competitors.

Allison Bartkowiak crossed the finish line next for the Bombers in 167th and 170th place. Wright clocked a time of 23:41.9 and Bartkowiak finished the race in 23:42.9.
Junior
Michaela Cioffredi finished the six-kilometer course in 197th place earning a time of 23:54.4.
Senior
Alexa Rick earned a 215th place finish in 24:10.3.

Anastasia Diamond rounded out Ithaca's top seven with times of 24:21.6 and 24:35.2. Fay finished 235th overall and Diamond earned a 249th place finish.
The women competed last year in the NCAA Championships, earning a 23rd place finish out of 32 competing teams.
Jenn Randall led the Bombers in 2013 with a 12th place overall finish to earn all-American accolades. She became the 21st all-American in program history.
