Seven Women's Soccer Teams Earn NSCAA Academic Award

Kansas City, Mo. –  Seven Empire 8 Women's soccer teams earned the National Collegiate Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Academic Award. The honor was given to 582 institutions across all divisions of women's soccer. To earn the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year, a program must post a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Ithaca turned in the highest GPA of the seven E8 teams honored with a 3.56. Nazareth College was close behing with a 3.51 followed by Houghton College who turned in a 3.48. The other teams honored in order of GPA were: St. John Fisher (3.45), Hartwick (3.41), Elmira (3.24) and Alfred (3.08).
