ECAC Honors Six E8 Athletes

Six Empire 8 Athletic Conference student-athletes have been honored as the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Northwest and Upstate Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of Oct. 27-Nov. 2, 2014.
 
Women’s Cross Country – Upstate
Co-Runners of the Week:
Amy Regan- Stevens Institute of Technology, Jr., Green Brook, N.J.
Regan won her third consecutive Empire 8 Conference title on Saturday at Saratoga Springs State Park. The junior registered a time of 17:03 on the 3.04-mile course to establish a new meet record and beat the next closest runner by 53 seconds. 
 
Women’s Soccer – Upstate
Co-Offensive Players of the Week:
Danielle Fournier – Elmira College, Sr., GK, Southborough, Mass.
Fournier returned to the field after her one game appearance in net and had the best offensive performance of her career, scoring two goals and assisting on another in Elmira's 4-0 win over Utica. Her five-point performance led Elmira to a plus-.500 finish in the regular season for the first time since 2004.
 
Defensive Player of the Week:
Allison Dobles – Nazareth College, So., GK, Spencerport, N.Y.
Dobles helped the Golden Flyers close out their regular-season schedule last week with a 0-0 tie at William Smith and a 2-1 victory at Skidmore. She had several key stops and finished with a career-high 11 saves overall in the game at William Smith for her fifth shutout of the season.  The sophomore finished with three saves in a 2-1 win over Skidmore on Saturday. 
 
Football – Northwest
Offensive Player of the Week
Mike Collichio, St. John Fisher College, Sophomore, WR, Webster, N.Y.
Collichio grabbed eight balls for a career-high 174 yards and two touchdowns to help St. John Fisher to a 35-25 win over Buffalo State College on Saturday. The sophomore wide out has now recorded a touchdown reception in each of the past six games.
 
Co-Special Teams Players of the Week
Trevor Monk, Alfred University, Freshman, K, Liverpool, N.Y.
Monk knocked in a 28-yard field goal as time expired to give Alfred a 23-21 win at Salisbury.
 
Rookie of the Week
A.J. Licata, Alfred University, Freshman, LB, Lake View, N.Y.
Licata racked up six tackles, including two for loss, and forced two fumbles in Alfred's 23-21 win at Salisbury.
