Ithaca WBB Ranked in Preseason Top 25 Poll
USA Today/WBCA Division III Preseason Top 25 Poll
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's basketball team will enter the 2014-15 season as the No. 22 team in the country according to the USA Today/ Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Preseason Top 25 Poll which was released Tuesday afternoon, November 4.
Ithaca is tied with Baldwin-Wallace College at No.22 after receiving 35 points in the coaches poll. The Bombers posted a 26-5 record last season and reached the Sectional Final of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship, where they fell to Tufts University, 61-59.
Ithaca returns nine student-athletes from a season ago that will look to claim the program's fourth-straight Empire 8 Conference title at the beginning of March.
The 2014-15 season tips off on November 15 at 2 p.m. against William Smith College in Ben Light Gymnasium. Ithaca will then travel to play John Jay College of Criminal Justice on the 21st at the Messiah College Tip-Off Classic at 2 p.m.
