Men’s Basketball Player – Nazareth
Maurice Mills, Junior, Forward – Utica, NY/Proctor
Maurice Mills paced the Golden Flyers to their first win of the season Saturday against Keystone by scoring a career-high 38 points and equaling a career-high with 16 rebounds. He scored 27 of his points in the second half as Nazareth pulled away from a three-point halftime lead. He went 14 for 19 from the field and 10 for 13 from the free-throw line. He also had four blocks and two steals.
Men’s Basketball Rookie – Hartwick
Jake Sinicki, Freshman, F – Endicott, NY/Maine Endwell
Jake Sinicki shot 7-of-9 from the floor for a team- and career-high 16 points in a game against Union Tuesday night. He also grabbed a game- and career-best of 12 rebounds for the Hawks in the game.
Women’s Basketball Player – Houghton
Maisie Pipher, Junior, Center – Lowman, NY/Twin Tiers Christina
Maisie Pipher averaged 18 points and 12 rebounds in three games for Houghton last week. She shot 53.7 percent from the floor and completed her stat line with eight assists, seven blocks and six steals. Pipher started the week with 17 points and 10 boards against D’Youville on Monday and then one day later against Pitt-Bradford she chipped in with 21 points and 12 rebounds. She completed the week with a 16 point 14 rebound performance against Geneva on Saturday.
Women’s Basketball Rookie – St. John Fisher
Lunden Cunningham, Freshman, Forward – Escondido, CA/San Pasqual
Lunden Cunningham finished with four points and two rebounds in eight minutes of play in a win over Rivier University on Saturday. She then scored a career-high 10 points, while racking up seven rebounds in a win over Union College in the championship game of the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa tournament on Sunday.
