Neil Randolph (Wicklow, Ireland) is a senior forward for the Elmira College men’s basketball team and majors in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration.
Career Bio/Stats
Why did you choose to attend Elmira? It started off with wanting to play college basketball in America. I heard about Elmira from a friend, and coach T and the psychology program and it all just fit together.
What has been the greatest part of your experience as a college athlete? The camaraderie. The day to day antics in the locker room, on the court and in practice that you get with your teammates.
Who has been the most influential person during your athletic career? Why? My father. He is the one who put the ball in my hands and has always given me advice. Whenever I have a question he is the one I go to.
Where do you see yourself in five years? Hopefully playing basketball back home in the domestic league in Ireland or in England. If not that then working for a company who will hire me.
What do you like most about competing in the E8? The competition, the level is quiet high. I’ve been able to play against a lot of great matchups, which every player wants to play against someone who gives them a good game.
What do you do in your spare time? Playing Fifa.
Top 3 things on your bucket list? To see California. Surf in Hawaii. Travel to Australia.
What is something most people don’t know about you? I played soccer for as long as I have played basketball. I came to a cross roads with soccer and basketball and I ended up choosing basketball.
