Ducks Sit in Second after Day 1 at ECAC’s

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. (December 5, 2014)
– The Stevens Institute of Technology men's swimming team is in second place with 159 points after one day of competition at the three-day Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
 
New York University is in first with 182 points and DI St. Francis College is in third as a total of nine team are in competition at the championship meet this year.
 
The 200-yard medley relay team turned in its best time of the year with an NCAA B-cut of 1:31.71. The group of junior Ravi Sun, junior Joshua Lefeber, freshman Brennan Maxwell and junior Tomasz Wolinski were second and brought in 56 points.
 
In the 1,650-yard freestyle, freshman Connor Harrigan placed second with a 16:02.71 which was good for an NCAA B-cut. Sophomore Mark Lippert took fourth (16:16.56) with a B-cut as well as sophomore Conner Arnott finished fifth and rookie James Betz sixth. The four Ducks combined to earn 103 team tallies.
