EAST MEADOW, N.Y. (December 7, 2014) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's swimming team placed second at the ECAC Championships.
 
The Ducks finished with 1,644.50 points, trailing the 1,860.50 by New York University. Division I foes New Jersey Institute of Technology, Manhattan College and St. Francis College placed third, fourth and fifth (841.50, 624, 512).

Senior Ravi Sun, freshman David Duque, junior Joshua Lefeber and junior Tomasz Wolinski placed second in the 200-yard medley relay, clocking a 3:31.61 which was good for an NCAA B-cut and 56 team points.
 
Freshman Connor Harrigan and sophomore Mark Lippert were Stevens' top-two finishers in the 500-yard freestyle, placing fifth and eighth with times of 4:40.41 and 4:44.88. Freshman James Betz and sophomore Conner Arnott were ninth and 10th for the Ducks.
 
Wolinski 's 20.75 was good for second in the 50-yard freestyle as well as a B-cut. Freshman Ethan Gehenio, sophomore Austen Young and senior John Rees were seventh, eighth and ninth.
 
Sun picked up the first win of the day for Stevens, carding a 1:53.37 in the 200-yard individual medley. Senior Alex Xu took fourth and Lefeber was seventh.
 
In the final event of the meet, the 400-yard freestyle relay squad of Wolinski, Gehenio, Xu and Lefeber placed second with a 3:04.18. The time was good for the teams third B-cut in five Sunday events.
 
Stevens will now break for finals before heading to California for a training trip and meet with Pomona-Pitzer.
