Empire 8 men's track & field teams competed Saturday at the Bomber Invitational and Multi hosted at Glazer Arena.
ITHACA
The Bombers' 4x200-meter relay team of sophomores
Aaron Matthias (Rye, N.Y./Rye) and
Jeff Hejna (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois), junior
Kevin Davis (Camden, N.Y./Camden) and senior
Brennan Edmonds (Ithaca, N.Y./Charles O. Dickerson) raced to a runner-up finish of 1:30.81.
Junior
Rashaad Barrett (Bohemia, N.Y./Connetquot) placed third in the 60 dash finals clocking in at 7.06. Classmate
Dennis Ryan (Coventry, R.I./Coventry) crossed the finish line of the 800 run in 1:56.90 to earn bronze.
Senior
Brendan Wilkins (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) finished third in the high jump with a clear of 1.94 meters.
Sophomore
De'Marquis Graves (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) had a 13.68-meter mark in the triple jump. He placed seventh.
ST. JOHN FISHER
The Cardinals eclipsed a new program-record in the 4 x 200 relay amongst heavy competition in Ithaca, NY.
The quartet of Joe D'Agostino, Justin Rodriguez, Will Sterriker, and Trevor Wilkes took down the school-record in the relay racing to a time of 1:32.60 for a third place finish and moving up to seventh in the ECAC rankings.
Later in the day D'Agostino also won his flight in the 200 and placed 13th overall racing to the finish line in a time of 23.41
Evan Magnussen started out the day for Fisher finishing in fourth place in the 5000-meter run in a time of 16:10.77.
Eric Riley continued his steady performance jumping to a fourth place finish in the high jump at 1.94 meters.
In the shot put Kyle Blessing had a solid outing for the Cardinals earning an 11th place finish at 12.88 meters. Kyle Barry finished in 21st place in the Hammer throw at a distance of 13.25 meters.
