Saxon men shine at Brockport
BROCKPORT, NY – The Alfred University men's indoor track and field team competed Saturday at the Brockport State Invitational. Several Saxons, led by seniors
Andre McCloud (Bath, NY/Haverling) and
Isaiah Cassin (Candor, NY/Candor), turned in top-10 performances.
McCloud took second in the 200-meter dash in 22.90 seconds, while Cassin placed second in the high jump (1.88 meters).
Other Saxons men placing in the top 10 were: sophomore
Gregory Matos (Bronx, NY/ELLIS Prep), fifth in the 400 meters (52.24), and senior
Nolan Rummel (Kings Park, NY/Kings Park), seventh in the 400 meters (53.14).
Sophomore
Tchabelino Azimyt (New York, NY/A/ Philip Randolf), Matos, McCloud and junior
Javon Nunes (Amityville, NY/Copiague) placed third in the 4X200 relay
(1:34.99), while sophomore
Ethan Foster (Bolivar, NY/Bolivar-Richburg), senior
Eddie Potter (Lansing, NY/Lansing) and Rummel took fourth in the distance medley relay.
AU is in action next on Saturday, Feb. 21, at RIT.
