The St. John Fisher College men's track and field team took part in two separate events over the weekend, competing alongside some of the top programs in the country at the Division I level at the Valentine Invitational in Boston, MA, while also competing at the Golden Eagle Run Invite hosted by the College of Brockport.
 
Joe D'Agostino shattered the school-record and beat-out over 100 competitors in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.94.  D'Agostino's mark currently ranks second overall in the NYSCTC.  Justin Rodriguez wasn't far behind, crossing the finish in 23.54.
 
Junior Evan Magnussen also rewrote the Fisher record book, breaking his own record in the mile run with a time of 4:37.07
 
In Brockport, Eric Riley, the reigning Empire 8 Field Athlete of the Week, continued his record-setting ways after establishing a new meet-record in the high jump after clearing 1.98 meters.
 
Zach Hemminger wrapped up a 12th place finish in the triple jump after recording a distance of 12.15 meters.
 
Kyle Koehler carried over a strong performance from last weekend's championship with a 14.29 m throw in the shot put – good for fifth place overall.  Kyle Blessing place ninth after recording a distance of 13.04.
 
In the weight throw, Tyler Darby won his flight after tossing the 35-pound weight 11.20 meters.  Koehler also placed in the event with a distance of 10.70 meters.
 
The Cardinals will head to Ithaca next weekend for the Bomber Invite.
