Stevens 9, Ursinus 3
The Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team scored four runs in the first inning and three more in the eighth to come away with a 9-3 win against Ursinus College on Monday afternoon at The Polo Grounds in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The Ducks opened Monday's contest with four runs in the top half of the first inning on a two-RBI double from senior Dan Allen a single from junior Brian Hennelly and a fielder's choice by junior Gregg Nickels.

Stevens scored again in the third inning on an error to take a 5-0 lead, but Ursinus answered back with its only three runs of the game in the bottom of the fourth.

After another run score for the Ducks in the fifth, they plated three more in the eighth frame on doubles from sophomore Jayson Yano and Allen.

Allen finished the game with four RBI on a pair of doubles, a run scored and stolen base. Yano went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a steal, while Hennelly and sophomore Nicholas Sieber each collected two hits.

On the mound, sophomore Robert Robbins earned the start and went 4.1 innings and struck out four batters. Robbins allowed five hits and three runs with a walk before being replaced by freshman Zeph Walters.

Walters picked up the victory in 3.2 innings of work with six punch outs and gave up just three hits. Sophomore Daniel McIntyre fired a scoreless ninth inning for Stevens.

Pomona-Pitzer 15, Ithaca 7
The host Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens scored eight runs in the bottom of the first inning and went on to a 15-7 win over the Ithaca College baseball team Monday evening in California. Ithaca fell to 2-3 on the season and will take on Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Tuesday.

After falling behind by eight runs, the Bombers got back into the contest with four runs in the top of the third. Jared Amory and Joey Randazzo started the rally with singles. With the bases loaded, Colby Gee was hit by a pitch and later in the inning Zach Cole and Luke Stark  drew bases-loaded walks.

Cole added an RBI single in the seventh for Ithaca and Ryan Henchey drew a bases-loaded walk to bring in another run. The Bombers added one more in the top of the ninth on an RBI double for Henchey.

Henchey was 2-for-2 and reached base three times for Ithaca. Tim Henry also had two hits.
