Cornelius and Pinto Qualify for NCAA's
Devin Cornelius of St. John Fisher College and Robert Pinto of Stevens Institute of Technology have qualified for the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Cornelius is coming off back-to-back first-place finishes in the heptathlon and currently ranks 11th in the nation after compiling a career-best 4,951 points last weekend at the ECAC Championships in Boston, MA.
Stevens junior Robert Pinto will be making his first trip to the national meet and will be competing in the high jump. Pinto’s season-best clear of 2.08 meters is tied for the sixth-best performance in the nation this season which he set on February 23 at Princeton University in his first attempt.
