HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Nazareth closed out its spring break schedule in women's tennis Friday as the Golden Flyers outscored Heidelberg, 6-3, in a non-conference match.
Nazareth won four of six singles matches and two of the three doubles contests to extend its overall record to 9-8. Senior
Alison Tepas went a perfect 5-0 at first singles during the spring trip with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Heidelberg's Sofey Fugate. She also teamed with freshman
Sara Kashtan for an 8-4 win at first doubles. Tepas is now 18-3 in singles action this season and 61-34 for her career.
Sophomore
Ami Petosa and junior
Elizabeth Crane each captured singles points by tiebreaker. Petosa won at fourth singles 6-7, 6-1, 11-9 and Crane prevailed at sixth singles 5-7, 6-4, 10-7.
Senior
Krista Pagan accounted for another point at fifth singles with a 6-3, 6-2 win. In addition Petosa combined with freshman
Jean McCarthy for an 8-4 win at third doubles.
